Q: Where in Santa Fe is a good place to have hair styled?
I’m looking for a good place in Santa Fe, New Mexico, to have my hair styled for a special occasion (just styled, not colored or cut.) Any suggestions?

A: Try Rock-Paper-Scissor. I have curly hair and they did a great job.

Q: Can the Santa Fe cigars that have filters be inhaled like cigarettes?
A friend offered me a Santa Fe cigar that has a filter and I inhaled like he did. It didn’t make my head spin and actually tasted a whole lot lighter than the cigarettes that I smoke. My friend started buying and smoking Santa Fe because of the price. $2.50 vs. $6.85.

A: From what I gather, they’re not that much different to cigarettes in terms of health (given they have a filter) and are a lot more pure than packet cigarettes, seeing as they are cigarettes. So it’s probably alright to smoke them as usual!

Look at it this way – if they aren’t supposed to be inhaled like a cigarette, then why would they put filters on them?

Q: What is the best restraunt to eat at in Santa Fe, New Mexico?
We have a cousin living in Santa Fe, NM. I am looking for a good steak house restraunt to purchase a gift certificate as a Christmas gift.

A: One of the best restaurants in Santa Fe is “Geronimo” – They serve the best Elk there – its just like beef only more tender. I’m sure they have steaks as well. It is truly a beautiful dining experience. Its located on Canyon Road right in the middle of the art gallery district . Don’t you dare go to an Outback when you are in Santa Fe – There probably isn’t one there anyway!!!
Their website is www.geronimorestaurant.com

Another great restaurant is the Inn of the Anasazi.

Q: How much do you think it cost to drive from Santa Fe to Seattle?
I need to drive from Santa Fe, NM to Seattle. I will be driving either a 96VW Beetle, or a 96 Dodge Dakota Quad cab. Both vehicles are in excellent mechanical condition.

Going to pick up my son for the summer.

A: 1534 miles each way, 3068 miles total, divided by the miles per gal of the vehicle driven yielding gallons of fuel used. If the vehicle gets 30 MPG highway, 3068 / 30 = 103 gals. Now times the cost of fuel maybe 3.50 per gal. so, 103 x 3.50 costs $360.50 in fuel. Food cost, depends…Plus lodging unless you are sleeping in your car. Flying him might be cheaper?

Q: How can i remove the seat in my 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe?
I own a 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe. Our new puppy peed in the front passenger seat, and we can’t get the smell to go away. We tried various cleaning solutions, but we can’t keep the windows open due to continuous rain fall.

Is there a way to remove the seat temporarily so we can clean it, and set in on our porch to let it air out?

A: Bolts thru the floor at the four corners of the seat.Slide it all the way forward and remove the two in the rear then slide it back and take the two out of the front. If they are power you will need to rock it back and unplug the wires.IMPORTANT if you have side impact airbags housed in the seat itself you need to disconnect the battery before unplugging the wiring and again when you reinstall the seat.Any air bag plugs will be bright yellow in case you don’t know if you have them or not.The next thing is actually getting it OUT of the car.Usually easiest to lay the seat on it’s side and pull the bottom side thru the door first, definitely a two person job.

Good Luck

Q: What to see/do in and around Albuquerque and Santa Fe, New Mexico?
I’m going to be visiting Albuquerque and Santa Fe, New Mexico for a few days, and would like to hear some suggestions from previous visitors and locals on what to be sure to see and do there. Definitely include anything interesting and worthwhile in the surrounding area too, as a little driving (1-2 hour radius) is not a problem. If there are any particular cliff dwellings that are not to be missed, or that are better than the others, I’d love to hear about those, as well.

Thanks so much for your help!

Q: How much does it cost to have front bumper repainted on a Hyundai Santa Fe?
I got in a little fender bender with my new Santa Fe…need to have the front bumper panel repainted. At first it was just scraped, but after going to the car wash this morning, it is now missing a large amount of paint. I have no idea what something like this would cost…any info greatly appreciated as I need to figure out if I should file with my insurance or pay for it myself out of pocket…Thanks in advance for your answers!

A: If you have it repainted, there will be no guarantee that the paint will not peal, but most likely will not. To do the job right expect 5 to 600 dollars.

Q: Mexican recipe book similar to food at Santa Fe’s Mariscos La Playa?
My husband and I recently went down to Santa Fe where we had dinner at a yummy Mexican seafood restaurant called Mariscos La Playa. Unlike the Mexican food I’ve had here it was really light tasting – no salsa in their rice, not a lot of cheese. It was more spice-based than sauce-based. We had fish tacos, steak tacos, and a delicious creamy guacamole dip. Can anybody recommend a recipe book similar to the type of food served in this restaurant?

A: yes- go onto amazon and look up books from “the coyote cafe” . Sounds very similar!
