Q: Does the Mercedes R class look like a funeral car?
Everytime I look at the Mercedes R class, I think of a funeral car. To you, doesn’t it look like one?

Q: How Long for C & R Class 3 License Application Paperwork to Arrive?
It has been about 3 weeks (with Christmas and New Years in the middle) since I placed the order with the government to get the paperwork to apply for C & R license.

Anyone know roughly how long it takes to get the paperwork?
Yes I ordered online the application packet to apply for the C&R license.

A: Are you saying that you ordered the application packet?
If so it seems like I got mine in about a week
But the government kinda shuts down except for essential services during the holidays

When I have to deal with the government on anything like this usually about the time I start wondering where the hell is my stuff it gets there in a day or two

Q: Mercedes R-Class and a toddler seat? Anyone else with this dilemma?
I looked at the MB R-Class (still considering the Audi Q7 or the Acura MDX but they are practically going to GIVE me an 08 R-Class)…. BUT I have one reservation – the 2nd row of seats is separated with a console so a toddler seat has to go right by the window of driver or passenger side OR in the 3rd row of seats, which leaves no “trunk” space for stroller or groceries.

The salesperson did not understand the concept of putting a child in the middle – obviously, not having been in an side impact accident and not having children.

Thoughts?

A: I have been looking at purchasing the R-Class for quite some months and know the car inside and out due to the amount of research I put in daily.

The console area can be replaced with the option of a third (smaller) seat, which can be used for a baby sit. Not sure why the car salesmen didn’t tell you about this. Maybe he wants to sell the ones he already has in stock.

Q: Are there any alternatives to the Mercedes R-Class with similar features?
I’ve been checking it out, and I’ve liked the seating arrangements among other things, but it is just WAY too expensive…

A: Well, if you’re willing to give up luxury, the panoramic sunroof, and the Mercedes safety reputation, I suggest getting the Chrysler Pacifica…

Fully loaded, it costs about 40-50k for the AWD Limited Version (with a similar seating arrangement), however you do not get TeleAid, the roof, or the many options the Mercedes requires…

After all, the M-B R-Class is the luxury version of the Pacifica according to an article i found on Car and Driver…

If I were you, I would still select the R-Class if you are spending that much money anyway as you only pay 5-10k more for an R-Class that is fully loaded with the exception of rear air conditioning…

Q: How old do you have to be to get a C & R Class 3 License?
I’m 18, can I get a C & R license?
My state law says I have to be 16 to purchase/own a rifle/pistol. Federal law makes it so that you have to be 18 to buy a rifle from an FFL, 21 for a pistol. If I can get a C&R license at 18, could I get a C&R certified pistol?

A: I don’t think you can get any kind of class 3 license unless you are 21 (for just the reason you described).

Q: Should I get the Mercedes M Class or Mercedes R Class?
I am looking to buy a car and I am undecided whether to get the Mercedes M Class or the Mercedes R Class. Which is more luxurious? I have a son and a big dog. Which one is right for me?

A: The R-class is bigger and is a little more luxurious than the M-class. Both have a sufficient amount of space for what you need to haul though.

Q: How do you like your Mercedes R-class?
After searching for an answer to my question and not getting any luck, this question is for those of you who own a Mercedes R-class. First of all, how’s the ride quality, and second, what’s it like to drive one? I’m considering renting one for my birthday. I was considering a Audi Q7, but there’s hardly any room in the 3rd row. So is it really worth renting?

A: I don’t own one but I have driven it. This is subjective of course but the let down of the R-Class is the outside styling. Once you get in and sit down, it is actually a nice vehicle to drive. The second row seating it almost limousine like and the third row, while not as good as the second row, is still spacious enough when compared to many other vehicles with 3rd row seating.
Keep in mind that while driving it, the R-Class is a BIG vehicle ( especially important when backing up ). The ride is quite nice considering the R-Class chassis is based upon the ML and GL SUV chassis. I drove the R320 diesel and it’s very quiet on the road and the diesel’s torque output actually gives this vehicle some get-up-n’-go. The diesel engine is especially appreciated when filling this beast back up. The gasoline engines ( either the R350 V6 or the R500 V8 ) really suck back the premium unleaded.

Q: Is it possible to ride a Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R on a R-Class Learners license in South Australia?

A: Below are the two areas (and the links are provided so you can see for yourself) you will need to ensure are met. As for the motorcycle itself then if it is on the LAMS list then yes you are able to if not then NO you cannot.

From 14 November 2005 R-date licence holders (learners and riders with less than 12 months experience) are restricted to riding motorcycles that have an engine capacity of up to 660ml with a power-to-weight ratio of 150kw/t that are approved under the Learner Approved Motorcycle Scheme (LAMS). A: Results for Chennai and Ajmer regions will be declared on Wednesday, May 28.

Results for Delhi, Panchkula, Allahabad and Guwahati will come out on Thursday, May 29.

A: Either are great songs, it depends on which one you can do better so you get better marks

So YES the Bluetec it’s ok for Cali. The R will come after the E. Probably 4-6 months later, so it would still be 07.
Bluetec Mercs will be the E, GL, ML, R + the Jeep Grand Cherokee.

Q: I have a 16 year old son and i have planned on giving him a Mercedes R-Class is that a good first car?

A: That’s bad planning, is what it is.

He’s 16. He’s old enough to earn money of his own.
Old enough to make his own decisions and choose his own way.

And certainly old enough to NOT get cars as presents from his parents.

If he wants a Mercedes, let him work for it and buy it himself.

Q: Mercedes R-Class?
I’ll be buying an R class this Saturday. What do I need to ask the dealership? What advice can you give me about the R class — what to watch out for?

A: Great deals on that car right now.

I dont own one but put over 400 miles on a R500 at work.
Only real advice with it is that the Parktronic option is a MUST HAVE. That truck is really long with very low, sloped overhangs making it really tough to park even for a “professional” parallel parker from NYC.
Parktronic makes it a non issue.

One of the most comfortable long distance cruisers around.

A: Its an amazing play. Its full of love, murder, and drama. Its not boring, in the least. It has parts that make you jump or you would just never see coming. Don’t watch the movie first though, see the play there is so much more in it. Then watch the movie
