A: I own a A3 Sportback SLine 2.0T FSI Quattro Special Edition & I love mine!! Poor people buy a Golf! Make sure your Dad gets at least a 2.0T as the 1.6 is gutless!! Yeh they are expensive but think about the brand,prestige etc! I owned a Golf before & never had any looks. People are always looking at my car now! Your Dad will love it, IF he chooses the right model & drives it sensibly. Let me know which model he gets please!!!

A: A main dealer will charge anything to £90.00 per hour, you may find a smal garage doing it for about £50.00 per hour but why don.t you try and do it yourself.

Q: Can you improve the power of a standard AUDI A3 1997?
Bought myself an Rplate audi a3, had the engine reconditioned and other various parts added, but it still seems a little slowish and powerless, it is a 1.6 standard petrol engine, is there anyway i can improve the power?
A: There’s not much you can do that’ll be worth the expense. A sports exhaust, ECU remap and a K&N air filter might find you another 20bhp, but it’ll cost £500-odd.
The 1.6 really isn’t up to pulling the A3 which is quite a heavy car for its size, even the 1.8 turbo isn’t that quick.
If you desperately want more power, you’d be much better off buying another car. Your A3 with a reconditioned engine should be worth a fair bit, I’d swap it for something like a Seat Leon Cupra which is similar to the Audi but has the 180bhp motor from the TT. It’s quite quick!!

Q: Can I buy an Audi A3 Coupe in Mexico and drive it back to Arizona?
In the future, I’ll want to buy an Audi A3 coupe…if possible…but they don’t sell them here in the States. Can I buy it in Mexico with cash and drive it back up here to Phoenix or could I specially order it trhough a dealership here?
A: I don’t think so because the emission controls, and safety standards won’t be up to US standards. You might try asking the DMV what would be required to allow you to bring it into the US and have it upgraded, but it probably would be very expensive, if at all possible.

hi , i hav a audi a3 1.8t sport 1998, last week i replaced the battery with a new one from halfords and was ok til i did 10mile then the battery light came on and has say on!! i was driving the day and the light is still on and them the ABS light is now on and a big warning light (!) has came on. can any one tell me why this is? And what i must do to fit it. many thanks.
A: well it might need to be reset is all but have you had the charging syystem check… only real way of knowing if you needed a battery or alternator … belt might be loose …it check… go auto zone have it scan they will help you out

A: Depends on your insurance and where you live and if it is a boy or girl. Boys are more costly than girl but they are both inexperienced as I see it.

A brake light has gone on my audi a3 and I thought yep I’ll just replace it but it’s all panneled in. I have changed bulbs on Vw’s with not hassle, just unclip the small panel and replace it but on the audi a3 it’s all boxed in. How do I replace them?

Q: Audi a3 key fob battery replacement problem, how can i reprogram the key back to the car?
my friend recently replaced the battery in the keyfob of his Audi a3 1.8
Now he cant start his car
I believe the memory was lost in the key when the battery was removed

A: no you don’t have to have it reprogrammed at the dealer. and yes he could have lost the memory. especially if he had it without a battery for some time.. in the owners manual it should give u a sequence of buttons to press or commands – such as flipping the ignition key on or off so many times etc. but if its not in the Manuel. go to auto zone and look it up in the repair manual there. and if not there. look for some Audi forums and/or a Audi club. and ask the guys there
